Abby's First Birthday

Well I can't believe my baby girl is turned one on Wednesday the 13th. It's been the best year of my life and as I sit here and relive the first time I held her I can't help but cry. She has been the best thing I've ever done in my life. I never knew I could love someone so very much. She brings so much happiness and joy everyday to Chaz and me. I can remember every moment of giving birth to her as if it was yesterday and yet it feels like it was a century ago. She's not my little baby anymore but I can't wait to watch her discover new things. I love watching her play and figure out how things work. She just amazes me!! God has blessed me more than I deserve. I could never thank Him enough for allowing me to be her mom. I knew that I would love her but I never knew how blessed. Thank you little girl for being my little angel and allowing me to be your mom. I pray that I will always be here for you and guide you to have a heart for Jesus. I also pray that you will be as blessed as I am and that one day you feel the love of being a parent and how extremely rewarding it truely is. Happy Birthday my little princess and I can't wait to celebrate the next one!!

Things are much better at the Railsback house.

Well I'm so happy to say that our sweet little Abby is finally back to her old happy self. After almost 3 months of illness we are all relieved to have her back and just in time for her 1st birthday. I can't believe she is almost 1. I told Chaz yesterday that this time last Dec. I couldn't see my feet and now I'm always looking down at Abby cawling all over the place. She has been so happy the last couple of days that we've already forgotten how hard it's been lately. We do go the GI specialist on Friday to talk about what to do next but I feel like the worst is behind us. And we thank God for that. She has been so social lately too and learning something new everyday. I think she was a little behind on some things when she was sick but she sure is catching up fast. It's amazing how well kids can bounce back. I'm also back at work and loving it. I am a bit sad and happy that the little girl that I've had for about 4 months now is no longer needing nursing care. So after the new year I won't have her anymore. I will miss her so much. She is such a good baby and her spirit after all she has been through is truely wonderful. I've really been blessed to have had this time with sweet Farrah. I will miss you and I pray that God continues to heal you and keep you safe. Anyway I will post pics from Abby's party next week. I can't wait. I'm so excited!!

Trick or Treat!

Well Halloween Abby felt well enough to get dressed up and go to church for some trick or treating. I decided since we missed the Ridgell Halloween party this year that I would wear my costum too. It was fun and we loved seeing all the kids dressed up. Chaz dressed up for work as Wayne from Wayne's world. It was pretty funny but Abby cried everytime she would look at him. Here are some pics. Enjoy!!

Busy Times

Well as many of you know Abby has been very sick going on 2.5 weeks now. For those who don't know what's going on, here is a quick summery. Abby twice now has vomited for at least 6-7 days and this last time she became very constipated. This made her even more sick and the pain that she had was terrible. We've been to the ER two Sat. nights in a row and both for different reasons. This last one was because she had 104.7 degree temp. They ran a few tests and nothing could tell us much. She is doing better today. We have the Upper GI tomorrow and I hope that will help us figure out what's going on. We are all so very worn out. She is a tropper and still gives us a smile when we need to see it. I'm staying home with her for the next couple of weeks which is making it so very hard to shop for Christmas and her birthday when we don't have my pay check. But I'm so very blessed to be able to stay home with her and work has been so understanding. Please continue to pray that Abby will get better and that God gives Chaz and me the strength to be there for her.

Happy Birthday Bella!

We had a great time at Bella's party. All the girls were so cute in their tutus. Thanks for a fun party!

Fun times at Gran's

Abby and I went to my mom's this last weekend and has always had a great time. I was a little sick and it was nice having my mom there to take care of me. I also got to meet my sister Cayce's new boyfriend. She is my youngest sister and now that's she 18 years old it makes me feel way old. Her boyfriend is nice but no one is good enough for either of my beautiful sisters. My brother Cally who is 12 years old makes me laugh. He has never held a baby and watching him try to hold Abby is something very comical. Being the oldest of five children makes it very weird that he has never been around a baby but he is very sweet and Abby loves him. It was wonderful being around all of them again. I've prayed so long for my mom, sisters and brothers to live closer. They have been out of state for too long. We're glad to have them back in Texas. Now we just have to get my dad out. We should know whether he is to be released or spend another 2.5 years in November. He's chances of getting out are 50/50. I really do miss him and so sad that he has missed out on Abby's first year but I know God is in control and He will do what is best. Well, I'm off to the big city of Abilene this weekend to visit my grandmother. We haven't been back in months so I'm ready to go home for a couple of days. Chaz is staying here and holding the fort down with the dogs. We'll catch everyone next weekend. And before I forget GO COWBOYS on Sunday. We have to get this one.

Fun weekend!

This next pic isn't from this weekend I just wanted to show how Abby is now making this cheesy smile. I don't know why she is doing it but it's funny.

Chaz and his high school friends from Fort Worth Christian with all their kids. What a fun bunch!

We had a good weekend at Chaz's 10 year high school reunion. He is so old! Just kidding honey, you know you will always be 21 to me. Abby did good even though she is teething and didn't get much sleep. She is such a good kid. I can't help but praise God for making me her mother. Anyway I thought I would show some pics of the weekend.

My little girl is growing up!

Well today Abby crawled for the first time. I was so excited but so sad at the same time. I know her world is fixing to change a great deal but so is mine. I still remember holding her the night she was born and thinking how small is was. Now she is so heavy and is crawling! It makes me want to cry. I was able to capture the event on film so Chaz could see it. He was so excited! My favorite part of the day is being on the floor with Abby and Chaz playing. Now it looks like it will be more like chasing her around. Man they really do grow up fast!

Pics of Abby and outfits that I've made

I thought I would try to publish some pics. We will see if it works.

I'm so computer challenged!

Well I've been trying to create a blog forever and have had many frustrating moments. But I'm praying that's all behind me. I just love looking at everyone blogs and especially love looking at pics of all the little ones. Well things have been crazy around here. I've decieded that's time for me to go back to work and with many prayers I think I found something perfect. The thought of leaving Abby breaks my heart but I know she will be in great hands. My job is with a nursing staff agency. I will pick my hours weekly along with the days I want to work. I'm only going to work a couple of days a week so I think it will be the best of both worlds, out of the house some and not being away from Abby that much. The job won't be without it's challenges. I will be doing Homehealth/private duty with kids. Most of them have cancer or are on a trach. I know it will be emotionaly draining but I know God will place me with the kids that really need my help. On top of that my sister-in-law and me have started our own kid's clothing line. We named it Dragon Babies. She lives in Southlake and right now we are focusing on dragon stuff. I think we will do well but of course I'm really nerveness about it. I love making them but now the pressure is on. We have our first craft show in Nov. I have so much to do to get ready for that. We don't have a website yet but I'll let everyone know when we do get one. Anyway, I'm excited to be doing what I love. I just pray that Abby will adjust ok to being at Chesley's. She is a real mommy's girl.

New York trip

I went on one of the best trips I've ever gone on. Ny city is amazing. I went with my two best friends, Jenn and Kristi. We had a blast! I couldn't live there but recommend visiting. I can't wait to go back with Chaz.
